Elijah House Academy’s Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program is applying for a religious exemption from state licensure, and complies with the applicable laws and regulations relating to food services, health and sanitation, water supply, building codes, and the Statewide Fire Prevention Code. Our kitchen facilities are available and used by the TK program for both our hot breakfast and lunch programs. The program’s maximum enrollment capacity is currently 12, and we are staffed to maintain a 6:1 student to teacher ratio. Both of our TK staff have been certified to be free of any disability that would prevent them from caring for children. All staff at EHA have a criminal record check as a condition of employment. The program is also appropriately covered with public liability insurance.
The program is housed at 6627 Jahnke Road in a ~20,000 square foot building. One of the classrooms in this building houses most of the TK program. The hours of the TK program are 8:00am-3:10pm. Students enrolled in this program experience over four hours of instruction, five days a week.
